Our History
What started as a community gathering in 2013 has grown into a nonprofit initiative rooted in education, preparedness, and collaboration. Now operating as a registered 501(c)(3) through the Perinatal Health Coalition, the WOMB Summit & Bazaar returns with expanded programming, trusted partners, and a renewed focus on supporting families in uncertain times.

A Gathering for Birth Workers, Families, and Community Responders
The WOMB Summit & Bazaar is a three day gathering focused on maternal health, birth education, emergency preparedness, and community care.
Birth workers, healthcare professionals, first responders, families, and community leaders come together for hands on workshops, expert speakers, practical training, and a vibrant maternal health marketplace.
This event was created to strengthen community knowledge, improve maternal and newborn outcomes, and connect the people working to protect mothers and babies.
Participants leave with practical skills, stronger relationships, and tools they can bring back to their communities.

Day 1
Combat Midwife Workshop
Emergency Birth and Women's Health Preparedness
This full day workshop teaches practical skills for responding to women's health emergencies and birth situations when hospitals are unavailable, help is far away, or emergency services are delayed.
Participants learn how to recognize common women's health concerns, support uncomplicated birth, respond to complications, and care for mothers and newborns in the critical moments after delivery.
Topics include recognizing labor progression, safely assisting birth, managing postpartum bleeding, newborn assessment, and understanding when immediate action is needed.
No medical background is required. This workshop is designed for families, birth workers, preparedness minded individuals, and community responders.
Day 2
Maternal Health Bazaar and Community Education
Day two brings the community together for a vibrant maternal health marketplace and education day focused on pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, infant feeding, and family wellness.
Families and professionals can explore products, services, and organizations supporting maternal and infant health while attending workshops, demonstrations, and educational sessions throughout the day.
This is where community, education, and collaboration come together.
The Combat Midwife™ Workshop for EMS and Healthcare Professionals
Day three is designed specifically for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physicians, and healthcare professionals who may respond to maternal or newborn emergencies outside the hospital setting.
Participants will explore emergency obstetric scenarios, maternal stabilization, newborn care considerations, and coordinated response during transport or field care.
This training focuses on strengthening preparedness, confidence, and collaboration among healthcare professionals responding to perinatal emergencies.
